This event is part of the LCF Undressed: Imagining Possibilities festival by Centre for Sustainable Fashion with London College of Fashion, UAL.
Starting from the notion of societal cherishing of our planetary resources, and grounded in an understanding of policy, advocacy and educational levers as a route to achieve large-scale change, the event will explore how we could move from cherishing as a radical act towards cherishing as a practical reality.
The social, cultural and environmental harms of fast fashion are well-documented - we know why a mindset shift on a large scale towards sufficiency, longevity and cherishing is needed. Sustainability advocacy movements have achieved a great deal, but structural change is needed to make cherishing a practical reality for all. The question is: how can we use policy change to get there?
