A year in sustainable fashion looks 2020
Looking back at 2020, what I enjoyed most about blogging was showcasing more secondhand and vintage looks than ever before. I tried to limit my shopping new so I found myself exploring Vinted, Depop, Gem a lot more. There are also some early 2020 swapping finds in here. I will admit that fashion became an escape during the ups and downs of 2020 and I found solace in shopping a tad more than I normally would but hey it was a coping mechanism I welcomed in the most conscious way possible. Here's a look back and some of the looks I created with some of my favourite finds.
1. Leathers & Velvets
"We're living in some strange times but I'm feeling hopeful. Hopeful because despite the chaos in the human world, nature thrives. One of the most beautiful spring seasons I've ever seen in London has burst to life. One thing is clear I will never take for granted the freedom to go outside ever again. I swapped my running gear (during my one outing of the day) for this outfit to create my first Spring editorial look for the season. The theme? Velvet and leathers"

2. Pink & Gold
"Let's talk about jewellery. I'm very picky about them but once in a while, I find some treasures that take my breath away. Just like this earring and necklace combo from Loft & Daughter. Their jewellery is inspired by India and ethically made there through a fairtrade organisation."

3. Autumn Joys
Denim dresses for me are a wardrobe stable and after I gave my last one away as it was too small, I was thrilled to find this gorgeous one at Kokoworld.
Part of their "Denimolution" collection, this dress is actually made of Tencel but has the look and feel of soft denim. It's a kind-to-skin fabric that consists of cellulose fibre, made from dissolving wood pulp and then reconstituted by dry jet-wet spinning.

4. Caramel Dusk
"A long soft brown leather coat, a burnt orange backless swimsuit turned top, a cable knit long skirt, classic boots and matrix inspired black shades made for the perfect look as the sunset cast a caramel hue on the walls of the Barbican, one of my favourite spots in London."
